Turka River kayaking.

We invite you to explore one of the most beautiful rivers of the Republic of Buryatia. The pristine beauty of the Siberian taiga, crystal-clear waters and fabulous landscapes of wild nature make the Turka river perfect for a kayaking vacation.

The Turka River flows out from the upper mountain range Ulan-Burgusy, going through the central part of Buryatia and then running into Lake Baikal. The overall length of the trip is 150 km. While kayaking one can observe wild deer, ducks, swans herons, and many other animals.

Tour programme:

1st Day. Arrival in Ulan Ude. Transfer to hotel. According to arrival time, refreshment followed by guided city tour with visits to the history museum. Lunch at the local restaurant. Afternoon excursion to the Ivolginsky Datsan, the most important Buddhist temple in Russia. (40 km from Ulan Ude). Visit to a Buryat yurt to enjoy folklore entertainment and a traditional Buryat dinner. Return to the hotel.

2nd Day. After breakfast drive to the Turka village (about 170 km). Stop for packed lunch en route. Drive by special off road jeep from the Turka village to the starting point of the trip (140 km). Overnight and dinner at the tent camp.

3rd Day. After breakfast, preparation of equipment and kayaks. Lunch. Kayaking down the river. Overnight and dinner at the tent camp.

3rd –4th Days. Next day full of kayaking and fishing. Overnight and dinner at the tent camp.

5th Day. Drive to Baikal`s coastline. A full day of relaxation on the shore.

6th Day. After breakfast, departure for Ulan Ude (120 km). Lunch en route.
Transfer to airport for departure.
