Baikal reserved places Discover the most precious and picturesque places of the deepest lake on our planet – Lake Baikal. The pristine nature of the Barguzinsky and Baikalo-Lensky Nature Reserves and the unique landscapes of the Pribaikalsky and Zabaikalsky National Parks will unfold themselves to you in a fascinating journey.

Tour programme:


1st Day. Arrival in Ulan Ude. Transfer to Hotel. According to arrival time, refreshment followed by guided city tour with a visit to the history museum. Lunch at the local restaurant. Afternoon excursion to the Ivolginsky Datsan, the most important Buddhist temple in Russia. (40 km from Ulan Ude). Visit to a Buryat yurt to enjoy folklore entertainment and traditional Buryat dinner. Return to the hotel.

2nd Day. After breakfast departure for the Monakhovo Cape (280 km) of the Zabaikalsky National Park and the Svyatoy Nos (Sacred Nose) Peninsula (8-10 hrs drive). Picnic lunch en route. At Monakhovo Cape we board a motorboat and sail towards Zmeinaya bay (1 hr). Overnight and dinner on board.

3rd Day. After breakfast excursion to the thermal springs located in Zmeinaya Bay. Bath taking opportunity and swimming in Lake Baikal. A 6-hour water journey across Lake Baikal towards the Davsha settlement located in the Barguzinsky Nature Reserve (the oldest nature reserve in Russia). Lunch on board. While cruising you will observe beautiful natural sights. Overnight and dinner on board.

Barguzinsky Nature Reserve 4th Day. After breakfast a meeting with a ranger of the Barguzinsky Nature Reserve and excursionin the area. Return aboard for lunch. After lunch we continue our cruise towards Zavorotnyi Cape (a buffer zone of Baikalo-Lensky Nature Reserve) along the western shore of the lake. Accommodation in homestay. Russian Banya. Dinner of traditional Siberian cuisine.

5th Day. After breakfast walking to the deserted mines of micro-quartzite. Excursion in the area, observe the beautiful natural sights of the western shore of Lake Baikal. Russian “banya”. Dinner.

6th Day. After breakfast board motorboat to Olkhon island (Pribaikalsky National Park) with an excursion to the Ushkany Islands, the home of the nerpa seals (8-10 hrs). Lunch en route. Overnight and dinner on board or at tent camp in one of the bays of Maloye More. Fishing.

Baikal, Buryatia7th Day. After breakfast visit the museum of regional studies of Olkhon Island. An excursion to the rock of Shamanka. After lunch free time to explore the island or relax on the sand beach of the Maloye More (Small Sea) Gulf. Overnight and dinner on the boat.

8th Day. After breakfast departure by boat to Barguzinsky Bay (the largest and deepest bay on Baikal) located in the eastern part of Lake Baikal (8 – 10 hrs). Overnight and dinner on board.

9th Day. After breakfast departure for Ulan Ude (230 km). Lunch en route. Accommodation at Hotel Buryatia/Geser. Free time to get acquainted with the capital of the Buryat Republic. Final dinner at restaurant and overnight at the hotel in Ulan Ude.

10th Day. Transfer to airport for departure after breakfast.
